My GPS led me to the wrong tree so I spent quite a while gazing at the bare branches for no apparent reason, I started walking back to the car the spotted something that looked a tad out of place.
I am 164cm tall and the cache was somewhat out of reach, so dressed in normal day clothes, I did what I had to do and climbed up. It took a bit of stretching to grab the cache, so I was relieved when I finally log the log out to sign it.
As I was doing that, a white works van came round the corner, their faces were a picture! What could I do?
What they thought when they saw a blonde lady halfway up a tree in broad daylight for no apparent reason and wearing a bright flowery top and grinning, heaven only knows!

The Mushroom Man Part 5) Hypholoma fasiculare GC1VZ29
August 19, 2009
I almost lost my shoes doing this one! Following the compass diligently, I did not see the stile(s) and aimed for the gate, trying to take the direct way. BIG MISTAKE.

I got that sinking feeling and I sank up to my shins. I could feel my shoes being sucked off, so I was stuck there for about 10 minutes getting deeper and deeper in..my walking stick helped thankfully and I eventually dragged myself out, shoes intact, much to the amusement of a Farmer who asked me if I was lost!
He said if I had gone any further I would have been history as the septic tank was lurking close by. I squelched into the farmyard eventually, to be greeted, to my horror, and very good looking blue eyed Farmer who offered to hose me down. I declined the kind offer, and paddled my way down the lane and bagged the cache.
I eventually got back to the layby where I parked the car, and luckily had spare clothes in the boot. With the aid of a bright pink fleece to cover my modesty and a load of wet wipes, I managed to clean up and get changed..in between cars passing by... hey ho... just my luck eh?
Trying to be Furtive (and Failing)
DOH!
My FTF Shark - Team Shadow Walker was knocked back by Sir Deci, so today I finally felt well enough to embrace the great outdoors, AKA the back of Buttermere.
I tuned round to see where Jack was, missed my footing and fell over in full view of three people and a large bulldog....
To cover my embarrassement, as I lay on my back, I started laughing at Jack, who I blamed for the eveil thing that had tripped me up - I landed straight on my dodgy knee, excruitating...
In all fairness, the muggles all asked if I was alright. talk about embarrassing!
I ended up going home and having a shower, only to coe out covered in scraathce. jack had got so mucky that I took him into the shower with me and gave him a good scrubbing to get the nuggies out.
Still, it will be interesting to see who FTF's this and the new ones in the Birkacre area... I await the logs.
